Xencor Inc. has announced vacancy position for the Protein Biochemistry Scientist. Selected candidates will have to join the antibody purification team. They will have to implement the protein purification and characterization strategies to purify the pre-clinical antibody variants and develop new isolation techniques for the increases throughput quality.


Xencor Inc. is a biotechnology company, headquarter of which is located in the Los Angeles, USA.  It is involved in the production of xmAb® based biotherapeutics such as antibodies to target the new biological mechanisms. These antibodies are more potent and safe that can improve the patient’s outcome and quality of life. Xencor Inc. works in collaboration with various leading biotechnology companies such as Amgen, Merck, CSL, etc.

Requirements for the Protein Biochemistry scientists

The ideal candidates for this post should have Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology. Candidates are also required to have at least two years of relevant Postdoc experiment in the related field and expert in recombinant protein expression and purification. They are also expected to have hands-on experience with the analytical tools such as HPLC, FPLC, chromatography, electrophoresis, and spectrophotometry.

Addition experience would include cell line development and optimization strategies for the production of large molecules and excellent communication and organizational skills and possess critical thinking and able to work in a team.
