Key responsibilities for this post

Candidates selected for this post (Biochemistry Technician) have to perform and maintain satisfactory operation in a variety of Biochemical tests and procedures based on standard operating protocols. They have to report the result using defined documentation system. They are required to clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment properly and prepare and maintain the reagents with some general laboratory housekeeping duties.

Other responsibilities for the Biochemistry Technician may include the followings.

They also have to monitor and maintain the routine test procedures just to ensure consistency of the result and to adherence with the compliance requirements all the time.

They have to operate varieties of analytical instruments and computer software packages for data analysis to assist in routine data collection and analysis through statistical process control. They have to observe laboratory health and safety regarding the use of personal protective clothing and equipment.



They have to assist with the evaluation, development, and validation of the novel techniques with new design and execution of validation studies and protocols. They may have to take responsibility ensuring that targets are met day to day basis and to assist with the investigations into abnormal test performance or manufacturing abnormalities, so as to provide some input to such working groups as necessary and advise them of corrective as well as preventative actions.

Requirement for the ideal candidates for Biochemistry Technician

Graduates with a degree in Biochemistry or related field with experiences in a laboratory environment are the suitable candidates for this post. Candidates with knowledge of methods used for validation/project work will be given more preference. They must also be experienced in good manufacturing practice (GMP) and good laboratory practice (GLP).
