KAUST has announced the opening of the application for the position of Postdoctoral Fellowship in Protein Biochemistry / FRET Spectroscopy for its laboratory of DNA replication and recombination.
Candidates with extensive experience in Protein Biochemistry, fluorescent labeling of proteins, etc. are encouraged to apply for this position. The selected candidate will have to join a group of scientists and Ph.D. students who are combining the conventional biochemical and biophysical tools with the real-time observation of single molecule techniques to study the molecular mechanism with which the structure-specific 5’ nuclease removes the aberrant DNA structure to form the duplex DNA. Other duties may include writing of scientific papers, presenting the work at appropriate national and international conferences and support graduate students.
KAUST will make an agreement of two years that may be renewable for one or two more years and will provide tax-free competitive salary depending upon the qualification and years of experience. Other packages may include on-campus free furnished housing, free health checkup, 30 days annual vacation and paid airfare at the start and the end of the contract.
